I'm James.
I build technology that helps people live with more dignity and agency, and I help teams bring it into the world.
Golden Wing Ventures is where I bring together two threads of work I care deeply about. I build original ventures that are human-centered, and I partner with founders to shape clear marketing that can scale without a lot of overhead.
I have spent most of my career building full funnel marketing from the inside as a leader, not as an agency. I love positioning and narrative, and I also love the operating side... the part where a team gets laser-focused, chooses wisely, and executes with precision.
As life sometimes does, I found myself pulled towards a different kind of question. What would it look like to build technology that supports people in a deeper way, especially around wellness and healing. More recently, that curiosity became deeply personal, and it has become a meaningful direction for my Studio work.

What I do
Studio work and founder partnerships
Golden Wing Ventures holds both, selective venture building and focused marketing support for founder led teams.
Studio
I incubate a small set of original concepts through prototyping, market learning, and proof of value. Some work stays private until it is ready. The goal is not volume. Instead, I seek depth and truth.
Marketing
I partner with Seed to Series B teams to sharpen messaging, set priorities, and guide execution with their team. The focus is lean marketing that moves the business forward without expensive detours.
Fit
When this works best
I’m mission-led, and I care a lot about fit. I keep my partnerships intentionally small so I can show up fully. The best work happens when I believe in what you're building and we can work together with clarity and trust.
